Monday Miles: Back On Track!

I want to thank all of our Walking Challenge members for their patience and loyalty. With all the RP we’re doing around here it seems I just can’t get around to Monday Miles each week. I try to post our RP video’s the same day we do them, but that pretty much takes up all my blogging time.

We are finally making some progress with 8 miles for last week. We’re at a grand total of 165 miles for the year.

We have 19 weeks left to make our goals. For us that means we need about 11 miles a week. Barring injuries, deaths or dismemberments that should be doable. How about all of you? Where are you at with your miles for the year?

The Walking Challenge sure has had some interesting challenges I never expected to face. Magnus’ injuries really set us back, but Maizey’s anxiety challenges us too. I expected to have two dogs to walk and for the most part have had only one. I’m really proud of us and how we’ve stuck too this. I’m really thrilled we have a chance of getting caught up and making our goal.

So how ’bout all of you? Where are you at for the week and for the year? What has been your biggest challenge? If we do a 2012 Walking Challenge would you join us again? Let’s just check in and get this Challenge back on track!

To answer the question on my blog.  When we went to the thunderstorm seminar the presenter (who is a bach flower practitioner) made up a mixture for Max with 4 or 5 different essences based on what I told her about his personality.  I was to give them four times a day for three weeks and the goal was to help him return to his “normal” emotional state.  The mixture is long gone but although I was a sceptic at the time I now believe that was the single biggest thing that helped his storm/firework anxiety.

We have been meaning to stop by for several days now.  Glad we finally got to touch base.  Looks like, even with the injuries, you guys are doing great.  Mommy and I walk twice a day, every day — 2 miles at a shot.  That is when I most like to go potty.  We never signed up for the challenge, but I guess we are doing pretty well without it.

Sorry for the blank comment.  Mommy did the “post as” thing too soon.  Just wanted to say, we were so thrilled to have you come by our blog last week.  We have been meaning to come by here, but I have been a bit needy for the past few days.

As to walking, Mommy and I walk 2 times a day, 2 miles for each walk.  We have not signed up for a challenge.  It is just where I most like to potty.  Mommy says she hates rainy days and is not looking forward to snow, but…. that is life with a GR.

    Tanner

WEll, nothing to be proud of but also not anything to be ashamed up, we can add anotehr 8 miles.  We are hoping for a cool down and then we hope and I say HOPE to get back to our 10 mile week.

thanks for keeping track of all of this even with all the bumps you have had to overcome.

    Take Care

    Hi Y’all,

We never signed up for the challenge.  We jog some, but mostly walk.  We do at least one two mile walk a day unless the Human has to be out of town, then we have to cut it short and make it just a potty walk.  We also do an unmeasured walk after supper to help us all digest our food.  We’ve never really kept track of how many days we miss, so can’t tell you any totals.

If you do a challenge for 2012 maybe I can get my Human to join y’all.

    Y’all come by now,
    Hawk aka BrownDog
