Walking Challenge: Monday Miles

Gonna be a short Monday Miles again folks, although we did manage to up last weeks’ ante a bit with 7.75 miles. That brings our total to 93.75 miles. We’re creeping up on the 100 miles mark and looking forward to it!

I want to send a call out to those that I haven’t heard of in a while. If you have miles and prefer not to report in each week, no problem, but we’d still love to hear how things are going. How ’bout a month end report? I’m sure you’ve all been out there, so we’d love to hear your progress!

I also want to make sure I have all of your miles correct. If there are any mistakes in my records in the sidebar please feel free to correct me in a comment or email me privately at katie @ lessonsfrom4legs dot com.

Looking at the totals it looks like it’ll be an exciting Tuesday Totals, as we’re closing in on 2000 miles and with the early totals I already know about looks like we’ll fly on by the 2000 miles mark. Awesome!

So let’s hear it folks! We have 15 members in the challenge and I’d love to hear from all 15 of you!

Me and My Vickie completed 11 miles.  Because of the flooding we had to look for more fun places to walk and luckily found a bunch more just five minutes from home.  Can’t beleive they were so close and we didn’t know about it.  We even found a forested area with gobblins living in the trees.  My Vickie got a little spooked but she has gotten over her scare and we get to go back again today.  Thanks again for sponsoring the fun.

Wow Bert and Vicky! Sounds like you’re doing great and having a great time! These sound like stories I need to hear more about! I’ll have to hop over and check out your latest posts and see what you’ve been up to.

I know others are facing flooding too, so I’m glad you were able to find more beautiful places to walk so close to home. You certainly live in a gorgeous area!

I’d like to join the challenge still, if it isn’t too late. I figure I still have half the year left for it, right? Not sure what to put as our goal though.

Hi Crystal, sorry so long to get back to you . . . We’d love to have you join the challenge! As for a goal, whatever is realistic for you and your 4 legged friends is great by us!:))

Each member has a different goal, I chose to go with a daily goal, backed up with keeping in mind how many miles I need for a week. Some are using a monthly goal to attain a larger year long goal. Perhaps reading this post will help you:http://www.lessonsfrom4legs.com/2011/01/08/walking-challenge-2011/

When you decide what works for you let me know and let me know what team name you’d like added to the sidebar. I’ll announce all new members in the next Monday Miles or Tuesday Totals. Welcome to the Challenge!

I’m not sure where I commented earlier from my phone, so if you see an errant mileage report – that would be me. We’re up to 17.3 miles. We went camping this weekend and got lots and lots of walking in.

We didn’t get in as many miles this week – only two.. we did have some great fun outdoors playing fetch and swimming.  Hopefully this week we’ll get back on track!!
