One Year Blogisversary and a New Feature

Feb 26th was our one year blogisversary. I didn’t post about it, but it was on my mind. Then yesterday we had good friends from out of town visiting. I pulled up the blog and we went back through some of the highlights together and I realized again how much I enjoy blogging, how it’s like the best scrapbook I could make of the dogs’ progress. Some highs and some lows, but over all a record of a year long journey that I’m so glad to have.

Those of you who have been reading for the longest have seen the highs and lows, and I want to thank everyone for their words of encouragement over the last year. I hope to keep learning from you all for many years to come!

It’s been a slow blogging week since I have been using my little bits of computer time to set up a Facebook page.

I thought this would be a fun way to share shorter bits of training and more day to day living info with all the readers we so love hearing from.

You can follow the link here or in the sidebar to ‘like’ our new page.

Of course the blog will stay the same, but with spring coming, us spending more time outside, Maizey and Magnus both being in class, gardening to get done and walking challenges to get caught up on I’m finding it harder to post as much as I’d like. Hopefully the FB page will let me stay connected with everyone although with shorter bits of info.

The blog posts will be syndicated there also, so it’s a very easy way to not miss any posts. Please don’t forget to hop over here frequently though as I love all the comments and advice I get here.

Blogging has turned out to be a wonderful way for me to share the lessons I love so much, and I’ve discovered a wonderful way to learn from so many talented dog trainers around the world. I hope the FB page will be equally fun for us all to keep in touch and help each other keep learning all those 4legged lessons!

I’m going to have to make the blog a Facebook page – with the semester in full swing, I’ve had a hard time keeping up, too. For the first time in what feels like forever, I actually wrote a thought-provoking kind of post today!

Happy Blogaversary and keep up the good work.

Thanks Sam! I’m on the run now but will hop over and read your “thought provoking” post asap, I always enjoy them! Thanks for commenting here on the blog too, that’s probably the only draw back I can see happening is that I don’t want the blog comments to decline, I enjoy getting them so much.;)) But I also think as we all get busier through the summer a little more convenience is never a bad thing. Thanks again for commenting!

    Hi Y’all,
I tried to start a FB page for Hawk, but just don’t have the time and have so many family using it to try to communicate I never go there anymore. As soon as I do, someone pops up to chat, so I avoid it and just stick to the blog.

I check email for notes specifically to me on FB. Wish I was a little more technically inclined, but life takes over and I gave up trying to learn more about FB. Unless something changes drastically, I’ll just continue to follow y’alls blog, which I really enjoy, but I’ll miss out on FB.

HI Hawk and Momma! No problem with the FB thing, I totally understand. I actually prefer the blog myself, but thought I would give this a try too. Since I am not even on FB as a person, just the blog page, I don’t even know how it works that much, but I’m game to try.:)) I’m glad you’ll still be posting comments and following us here, it’s where the bulk of our lessons will continue to be. Thanks again for the award, I feel really good you liked the blog enough to give us an award. Thanks!

I don’t have fb but I’m thinking may be it’s time for me to have one too.
The Blogville is a wonderful place where we share our experience, love towards our pets and daily ups and downs. It’s a world which is full of encouragement and kindness too.

I totally agree Priscilla, I love the connections I’ve made and the things I’ve learned from blogging. I don’t use FB except for the blog page so I can’t tell you much about it on a personal way, but I know it seems fun to be able to post little tidbits through the day and get the feed back on them. So far it seems pretty fun. We’d love to have you follow us there if you do get FB. They also have some great training groups too. Thanks for reading!
